Evista
Evista is a prescribed for treating osteoporosis and also reduces the risk of invasive breast cancer in postmenopausal women.
Evista is effective in increasing the bone density. But it is still not known if the drug prevents bone fractures. A Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator, Evista belongs to benzothiophene class of compounds.
The recommended dosage is 60 mg and the drug can be taken with meals or without meals. Keep a track on the doses and never miss any dose. In case you forget to take a dose, you can have it before the next dose. But never go for the missed one if it is nearly time for your scheduled dose. Moreover, you should not deviate from the prescription; never take more doses or take the drug for longer time unless your doctor has recommended it.
